Delve into the intricacies of human anatomy and physiology within the framework of yoga. Gain a solid understanding of joints, movement, and stability in postural practice. Explore the energetics and essential organ systems, applying this knowledge directly to movement and breathwork.

Yoga History, Philosophies and Controversies

Journey through the rich historical and philosophical roots of yoga and develop your own yoga persona. Develop your own view on various yoga practices.

Asana (Movement), Pranayama (Breathwork) & Meditation

Master the art of teaching with a comprehensive exploration of postures tailored to various abilities and levels. Learn to integrate effective verbal cues, visual demonstrations, and tactile guidance. Discover pranayama and meditation techniques, chakras and mudras, to add personal and inspiring elements to your personal practice and teaching.

Class Formatting

Learn to design engaging and effective yoga classes. Develop skills in structuring classes for different yoga styles, levels, and conditions. You will graduate developing at least 5 different unique formats you can use right away (and you will have practiced them to a point of confident delivery). Explore how to create sequences with a focus on energy, posture, themes, as well as workshops and retreats. You will also learn yoga as a business.

Special Populations Teaching

Equip yourself to teach a wide array of students, from seniors, expectant mothers to athletes, and those experiencing emotional challenges to individuals with physical disabilities. Learn to adapt teaching to various needs.

We have designed the most flexible but personal option for taking your yoga teacher training! Full access to recorded modules of all topics

Weekly live on-line training from 12:30pm-3:00 pm et every Saturday.

If you live near Columbus, Ohio or want to make the trip, we will offer optional in-studio practicum on teaching. If you choose or cannot come to the in-person practicum in studio, you will receive private 1:1 virtual live sessions with a coach to review your teaching and provide valuable feedback.

Take your Yoga Alliance approved 200 hour course from an organization that has offered 27 rounds of YTT, and been teaching for 30+ years!

With keeping our costs low, we provide 3 training books, either via email or shipped to your home. We also provide a list of supplmenetal resources you may benefit from purchasing.

Our head faculty is:

Julie Wilkes - Julie has been teaching for 26+ years and has a master’s in exercise physiology (she really digs anatomy),has her PhD in Organizational Psychology (she really digs brain health), is currently in her 500 hour EYT yoga training program and loves focusing on special populations. She has designed yoga, coaching and mindfulness programs for the incarcerated, homeless, amputees, kids-at-risk, and veterans with PTSD.
